What To Expect

At the Saturday IronMen meetings, the morning is broken up into three categories; breakfast, a lesson pertinent to men, and table-based group discussions.

Volunteers from within IronMen prepare a full country breakfast starting around 6:45 am, and serve the breakfast until around 7:30 am. The cost of this breakfast is $6.00.  Our first time guests receive a complimentary (yes, FREE!) breakfast.

Around 7:30 am, the IronMen teaching staff takes center stage. Before the morning’s featured teacher is introduced, an assigned IronMen staff member will open the session with brief announcements, such as upcoming events or community needs.  At the conclusion of these announcements, a prayer is said to bless the lesson, and the teacher is then introduced.

The Christian-based life-lesson typically lasts about 30 minutes, and concludes with a closing prayer. This is followed by discussions amongst the men at each table, based on a question or on questions posed by the teacher.  The duration of the table discussions is guided by the intensity of the discussions at each table, and individuals are free to leave at any time.  Most discussions however typically last for 15 to 20 minutes, concluding the day’s meeting.
